The bad economy is having a good effect on a local business. A local cosmetology school located in downtown St.Petersburg is busier than ever. The Aveda Institute says that its sales are up more than 20 percent over the last year. The cosmetology school offers $12 haircuts, $15 manicures and $20 pedicures. All work is performed by supervised students. With the holidays approaching it is recommended that you book your appointment early.
The Aveda Institute is located at 235 3rd St. S. at 3rd Ave. S. (3rd Ave. & 3rd St.). Take I-275 to I-175 east to 4th St. exit. Go straight to 3rd St. South, turn left and go 2 blocks. The Institute is located on the left hand side of the block.
